Joe Cozzo, Esq.
Founder | Criminal Defense, Personal Injury & Family Law Attorney
Before stepping into the courtroom, Joe Cozzo was behind the microphone. He began his career path as a radio broadcasting major, interning at the legendary WFAN under Mike and the Mad Dog, where he honed his voice, confidence, and ability to think quickly under pressure—skills that would later serve him well in the legal arena.
Driven by a deeper calling to advocate for others, Joe shifted his focus to law. He earned his J.D. from Touro Law School, where he interned at the District Attorney’s Office, gaining hands-on experience in the criminal justice system.
After graduation, Joe became a Suffolk County prosecutor, trying numerous serious criminal cases over three years. His time as an Assistant District Attorney gave him invaluable insight into how prosecutors build and present cases—insight he now uses to defend his clients aggressively.
In 2006, Joe opened his firm and has since built a reputation for results-driven advocacy. Over nearly two decades, he has successfully handled over 10,000 cases spanning criminal defense, personal injury, and family law. His firm is known for its personalized attention, strategic approach, and relentless dedication to protecting his clients’ rights and futures.
Whether defending someone’s freedom, fighting for injury compensation, or guiding families through complex legal issues, Joe brings experience, empathy, and fire to every case.
